About the Excursion

We will start the tour by picking you up at your accommodation and head to the outskirts of the city to explore the winter resorts and enjoy all that the snow has to offer with Huskies and Siberian Dogs as the main characters but enjoying the combination of the winter resorts.

Our first stop will be at the base of the renowned ski center “Cerro Castor”. There we will be able to observe the operation of winter sports and learn part of its history as well as to arrive for the first time to this ski center so complete with activities for the whole family where we can think about planning our next visit.

The second stop will be at “Haruwen”, a museum of motorcycles and antiques where different liquors of Fuegian origin are distilled, which we will be able to taste during the visit.

The next point will be at the viewpoint of Paso Garibaldi, from where we will be able to appreciate a panoramic view of the Fuegian Lakes Escondido and Fagnano in the distance and take the best pictures.

To recharge our batteries, we will go to the “Llanos del Castor” winter center, where we will enjoy an exquisite Patagonian lamb and get our adrenaline pumping with a snowmobile ride through the snowy forest.

Once our stay at Llanos del Castor is over, we will head for the final activity: the dog sled ride. This is an ancient practice used in the northern hemisphere as a means of transportation to travel long distances; today it is also recognized as a sport. In Ushuaia, dog sledding takes you to see the snowy forest and enjoy a unique experience.

During the 2 km sled ride, we will always be accompanied by a Musher who will drive the sled. We will make a stop in the middle of the tour to take pictures.

On the way back, a hot tea will be offered at the “Siberians of Fire” shelter.
