The End of the World Post Office is located inside the Tierra del Fuego National Park, at the first fork of National Route No. 3, and can only be visited during the spring and summer months, since when the cold weather sets in, the road is closed as a precaution.

Money can be exchanged at all banks in the city. There is only one exchange house in town called Jupiter, which is located on Rivadavia Street, a few meters from the main street San Martin.

The typical food of our area is mainly the Fuegian lamb, the best option is to eat it "a la estaca", you can try it in the excursion to Escondido and Fagnano Lakes, as well as the spider crab, which you can try in the city in its different versions, natural or chupe type, combined with cheese. You can also try empanadas of both options.
On the other hand, we recommend you to try some derivative of Calafate, such as chocolate, jams or liquors.

The Malvinas Argentinas International Airport is located approximately 5 kilometers south of the city center.

Ushuaia Airport

The city of Ushuaia is located at the end of National Route No. 3 and is the capital of the Province of Tierra del Fuego. It is the only trans-Andean city because it crosses the Andes Mountains.
To reach the city of Ushuaia, there are three possible ways: by boat on different routes depending on the vessel, by plane: mainly from the city of Buenos Aires, Cordoba, or in connection with El Calafate, and finally by land, through National Route No. 3, and in a sector by Chilean Route No. 255, then No. 257, until you reach the Strait of Magellan where you must take a ferry 30 minutes to cross and finally return to Argentina at the border of San Sebastian. After about 284 kilometers, crossing Río Grande and Tolhuin, you reach the city at the end of the world.

Museum of the End of the World

The Museum of the End of the World has two venues, Casa Banco Nación is located at 173 Maipú Avenue and Casa de Gobierno Maipú 475. It offers permanent and temporary exhibits that allow you to travel through the history of Tierra del Fuego, information about the ethnic groups, navigators and first inhabitants of Ushuaia and Río Grande.

Hours of Operation: Every day from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Cost of access: General admission: $1700. National Tourist: $2200. Pensioners/Teachers/Students: $1400.- Children under 12, people with disabilities and residents of Tierra del Fuego: Free.

Presidio Museum

The Maritime and Presidio Museum is considered a National Historic Monument and offers a collection of models that relate the maritime history of Tierra del Fuego since the arrival of the first explorers. The Presidio Museum which highlights the history of famous criminals and the life of prisoners in each of the old cells with supporting displays; local history and the development of the city of Ushuaia. The Antarctic Museum with exhibits on the expeditions of the most famous explorers such as Amundsen, Scott, Shackleton, Nordenskjöld. The Museum of Marine Art, with the main Argentine marine artists and an Art Gallery with temporary exhibitions.

The thematic gallery is located in San Martin 152 1st and 2nd floor. It is a different kind of tour that invites you to take a lively journey through the history of Tierra del Fuego. It has an audio guide in several languages.

Martial Glacier

The Martial Glacier Mountain Center is located 7 kms away. the center of the City. To get there you can take a cab or remis. At the base you will find a mountain center where you can practice canopy zip-lining and a tea house. This is the beginning of the walking trail in summer, and in winter it is a ski and snowboard slope where you can take lessons if you are a beginner. We help you have the best day of skiing, coordinate your lesson and reserve the equipment.

As you ascend you will have a panoramic view of the city and Ushuaia.

Ushuaia's climate is changeable, it is known as the city where you can experience all four seasons in one day. The temperatures during the summer have an annual average of 10° C. In winter, the average is recorded at 0° C, the hours of light are few, depending on the time is approximately 8 hours, and in the summer on the contrary the sun does not hide until 22 hs. we have some hot days up to 25 ° C.

The End of the World Train is located on the road to the National Park and the main station is about 12 kilometers from the city of Ushuaia.

The train station offers a confectionery area, boutique and souvenir shop so you can enjoy the wait before boarding the train.
