All Glacier Navigation
Once on board, passengers will be briefed on safety regulations and navigation conditions.
The activity takes place in a modern and comfortable catamaran with the latest technology.
First we will sail the North Arm of Lake Argentino, crossing the Boca del Diablo, the natural access gate of the North Arm, until we reach the Upsala Channel, where we will find a large number of icebergs. The boat will also sail among the icebergs and make stops to enjoy this wonderful experience.
Continuing with the navigation, the catamaran will approach the Upsala Glacier to have a panoramic view of it, the approach will be allowed by National Parks for safety.
Then we enter the Spegazzini Channel and moments later we will have the first view of the Seco Glacier. We continue sailing to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier, the highest in the National Park, the view is impressive and its walls reach 140 meters high, where we will also contemplate the Heim Sur and Peineta glaciers.
Base Spegazzini: viewpoints and the rest of it
We prepare to disembark at La Base Spegazzini and begin our visit to the area by walking through the forest trail to the Spegazzini Refuge.
This 300-meter trail is accessible and as we walk along it we stop at stations and viewpoints overlooking the entire bay of Los Glaciares.
NOTE: The lodge and restaurant is closed.
For those who like to walk, you can take the mountain trail.
This is a medium-difficulty trekking through a wooded path, with natural viewpoints, full of incredible views that ends at the disembarkation point.
Subsequently, the return to the port of departure is undertaken.
Note of interest
The route may be modified according to weather and safety conditions by decision of the captain of the boat, Prefectura Naval Argentina or National Parks.
