Off road lakes: Experience4 x 4

Enjoy the adventure in Ushuaia: Fuegian Lakes in a 4×4 – Offroad Experience

The tour begins when we pick up the passengers for their accommodation around 9:00 am. Once everyone is on board, we take National Route N°3 heading north. As we move away from the Beagle Channel, the landscape reveals in the horizon the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains, as well as the Carbajal Valley where peat is exploited. The road takes us to the Tierra Mayor Valley, where we will be able to observe the Bonete and Alvear hills and some cirque glaciers. Then we crossed the winter center “Cerro Castor”, a place where in winter thousands of visitors and many residents practice their favorite winter sports (skiing in all its modalities, snowboarding, dog sledding, ice skating, among others). We continue along the road until we reach an altitude of 450 meters above sea level to cross the Andes, and from the viewpoint “Paso Garibaldi” we can enjoy the most amazing panoramic views of the Escondido and Fagnano Lakes.

A 4 x 4 experience full of adrenaline and fun. Get to know the Fuegian lakes by reaching the viewpoint Paso Garibaldi, the narrowest point to cross the Andes Mountain Range from where you will be able to take the best picture of Lago Escondido and Lago Fagnano. Then you will approach the Off Road circuit to start the journey in 4 x 4 over natural obstacles until you reach Fagnano Lake.

  The trip continues to the Bronsovich sawmill, from where we will take Provincial Route 119 to travel about 10 km and find our Off Road circuit, an old loggers’ trail that will take us, crossing centenary lenga forests (and some obstacles!!!!), towards Lake Fagnano. At the end of the Off Road tour we will head to the refuge or restaurant where we will have lunch. After enjoying this truly magical place, we return to the city of Ushuaia.
