The Tour
With hiking on the Mirador de los Cóndores and Águilas trail plus the Mirador de El Chorrillo trail.
We leave El Calafate at about 8:30 in the morning for El Chaltén, which is about 220 km away. The road itself is already a great attraction where you will be making stops: We drive along the majestic Ruta 40, surrounded by Patagonian steppe, skirt the Lago Argentino, cross the beautiful Río Santa Cruz, then continue to the Río La Leona, where we drive through its canyon until we arrive, after 1 hour and 15 minutes, at the historic hotel Paso La Leona, We will continue to the historic hotel Paso La Leona (almost a museum of the Route 40), where you can make a technical stop to have a coffee and homemade cakes, from there we will continue along the Viedma Lake - with the Andes Mountains in the background (including the Fitz Roy and the Torre). Before arriving to the village we will stop at the Viedma Glacier viewpoint from where you will be able to appreciate a beautiful panoramic view of the Glacier, the Andes and the emblematic Fitz Roy and Torre Mountains.
We will arrive at the mountain village of El Chaltén after a 3 hour drive, having travelled 220 kms.
We will make stops at various scenic points before arriving in El Chaltén. This small town has been consecrated as the National Capital of Trekking, which is why year after year thousands of travellers from all over the world come here in search of its magnificent trails and incredible panoramic points.
After arriving at El Chalten we will go to the visitor and interpretation centre of Los Glaciares National Park to listen to a brief introduction of the place and then we will start the 80 minutes walk of the Mirador de los Cóndores and de las Águilas trails.
Later we will drive to the start of the Mirador del Salto del Chorrillo trail and you will have time to appreciate the scenery and take pictures and then we will start the return trip, around 6 pm we will return to the hotel in El Calafate.

You can cancel the service without penalty up to 7 days before the activity. From 3 to 7 days prior to the activity the penalty will be 50% of the final value of the excursion. From 0 to 3 days prior to the excursion the penalty cost will be 100% of the activity.
